Okay I came across this a little bit ago and it completely sickens me.... This poor girl should have NEVER had to suffer like this. I do believe children need discipline but this is absurd... I do not see how this book could even be used for disciplinary reasons, I guess due to it being written by a preacher (no one take that out of context please). Well sadly I do believe he took the words meaning to teach a child to obey, or even spanking a child (not abusing a child) and turned them into his own.... First of all if I got a book and seen the statement Using plastic tubing to beat children, since it hurts a lot but leaves fewer marks to alert authorities the book would have never even been considered in my home for discipline use. Yes I do know that Andora is on the rambunctious side, but to me I want my child to know she is loved rather than live in a shell. She has manors, but is very stubborn... To me she is just an average 4 year old. OR Swatting babies as young as six months old with instruments such as a 12-inch willowy branch thinner plastic tubing or a wooden spoon WHAT??? Just sickening!!! Someone even dare ever try swatting my Sadie and it would just be on...... I would never allow this ignorance in my home, a true Christian could never use these techniques to make their child obey. There is a huge difference between discipline and abuse, and when parents do ignorant stunts such as this it will eventually make it harder for parents (who discipline their children correctly, not abuse) make their kids mind......
