Okay I consider myself and my family to be good people. Ive raised 5 children in a home I built and have lived in for over 22 years. In this time I have never harrassed anyone had an argument with a neighbor or given anyone cause not to like me or my family. Unfortunately there is one family, person or persons who over the years find it necessary to leave notes in my letterbox to tell me and my family what is right or wrong with our property. The tree branches are growing out over the footpath...fix that up...chop it...just do it. There is grass growing out of your gutter...dear lazy boys...fix up this untidy...blah, blah, blah. Never has there ever been, Excuse me could you kindly, or would you mind...always a direct instruction to fix things. In spite of feeling miffed as the letters have never been signed as to who it might be today we received a new one with a signature. Obviously belonging to a resident in our street or close by. I checked White Pages however they obviously have a silent listing I cant seem to find who it is. I would like to speak with them personally and to tell them I am a reasonable person and would be happy to discuss any issues they have. So today I come home and here is the latest letter, To the occupant, there are pailings missing in your fence. One is so wide that your dog was able to get part of his head through it and almost latched onto my dogs nose! It is irresponsible of you with such a savage dog to allow this to happen! If the fence isnt repaired by Monday, the Council will be phoned and your dog taken away as it is a dangerous situation for all concerned. A worried resident and their name... I understand this person (and I think it is a lady) might be concerned or worried. There is never any harm in being nice. I love people. My dog by the way isnt vicious at all. All my relatives and friends who frequent my home will vouch for that. We do nail pailings back on, however they do fall off occassionally thats life... At the moment we cant afford a new fence so we will nail the pailings back on and they will fall off again in time. I dont mind nailing my pailings back up, however over the years I have wondered why this person finds me such a confronting person they leave little notes in my letterbox usually with no name, nor the number of the property they live at. Im wondering how grass grown through the cracks of the gutters concerns them and why we were labelled lazy boys. Well thats my rant for the weekend. If you have read all the way to the end I congratulate you for not giving up and finding this whole story quite boring...I do :)
