Okay here goes ! Ive been asked to write another funny tale, after all laughter is the best medicine . Again a true story . My mothers sister and brother in law were visiting for two months from Holland . I was dating a newly qualified doctor named Isak at that time and training to become a qualified nurse in SA. There was lots of laughter coming from the living room filled with a happy Dutch language and the smell of cigars , both my father and uncle enjoying an expensive Dutch cigar and my mother and aunt reminiscing their childhood days. I however was getting ready for my fabulous date , wining and dining , I had to look the part with a pretty outfit and make up fit for a Queen! The door bell rang and butterflies were racing around in my stomach, Isak came from an Afrikaans family who owned a stud farm near Pretoria , he had just qualified to become a medical doctor. I answered the door and let him in , very shy and excited , he was very handsome and tall and dressed so smartly. My mother and father always insisted on a formal introduction as after all they wanted to know who was taking their precious daughter out for the evening . We both stepped into the living room and my family turned to look at us , my mother and aunt had a naughty grin on their faces and my father and uncle still puffing at their cigars. Isak had asked me to call him Sakkie , an Afrikaans nick name . I introduced him to my uncle and aunt addressing them using his nickname, both my father and uncle stood up while the introduction took place. I was very proud of my family and my boyfriend . Whilst Isak was introduced to my aunt , I noticed this permanent grin on her face and a little giggle followed after the introduction , I was perturbed by this and felt it was a little rude. We both had a lovely and romantic evening and was taken home at a reasonable and sociable hour. The next morning I asked my mother why my aunt was giggling , my mother answered with a flashing smile that Sakkie in Dutch means a mans testicles !!!!!!! I could not stop laughing and told Isak who also roared with laughter !!!
