Okay, so I am about 120 pages into this book, and Im absolutely blown away. First: Who could have guessed that Billy Idol was this great a Writer. Ive seen several interviews with him talking about it, and looked the book over cover to cover, and there was NO ghost writer on this, he absolutely did it himself. I knew from the past that he was a relatively intelligent and intellectual person, and it really shows in his writing. So, from one writer to another, I am blown away impressed. Second: It is (again) mind blowing to read about the uprising and coming of age of the Punk Rock era from someone who was in on the ground floor of it, lived it, and tells about it from the inside out. I was about 18 when he came out swinging, and I saw the rise of the Punk movement (I didnt always approve of it, but it was real, and very close to me). Then he moves up the ranks to become a video king. This book, so far, is one of the best Autobiographies Ive ever read. I highly recommend it.
