Okay, this will seem like a pointless rant to many of you, but it is a major headache for me. Twice within an hour today, I was first blocked from getting into my vehicle at one location, and then blocked from using a handicapped parking space at location 2. The driver of the beige van thought he would be okay parking his entire vehicle on the lines because he had a disabled passenger. Unfortunately, his actions stopped me from entering my vehicle, so I had to wait for them in 85 degree heat. Driver two parked so far over the lines that I could not deploy my vans ramp. As a result, I had to use a regular space across the parking lot. I have no problem with doctors issuing disabled parking placards to people with legitimate disabilities, but I frequently see people with absolutely no visible disability get out of their cars and run into the store. While both of these people were theoretically allowed to use handicapped spaces, they used and/or blocked van accessible spaces by failing to stay within the lines. Please be on the lookout for people like this and remind them to park within the lines--if they are legitimately parking in handicapped accessible spaces, and report people who park in them illegally.
