On EPAs...... Those of you shouting dont sign dont sign should spend some time actually THINKING about tbe consequences 1. You will lose access to tbe EU market.... as things stand you have tarrif free quota free access .... meaning that your exports do nt attract any taxes or tarrif or quotas at the EU port..... so those exporting pepper pineapples and bananas can actually display their goods on shelves of EU shops with prices that are competitive.... when you loose this preferential treatment goods from Gh will attract the same taxes as from other countries..... cost of production is high in Ghana so if you add the taxes no supermarket will be willing to take your products cos it will be too expensive.... POOF !!!! Goes your nascent export sector.... WE DONT HAVE THOSE CONCESSIONS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD...... if you do not need exports to grow because you have a big market or big oil like Nigeria by all means go ahead and dont sign....
