On This Day In Herstory. On December 13, 1968, Judy is at ABC-TV Studios in New York videotaping her only appearance on The Dick Cavett Show to air on December 16. It is the first of three stops on the talk show circuit with tapings scheduled for The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson on December 17 and The Merv Griffin Show on December 19 and 23. Judy will be introduced earlier than scheduled by Dick Cavett as his first guest, Lee Marvin, is running a bit late; to which Judy will respond, Good! It wasnt me for a change! She will have Mr Cavett and his studio audience roaring with laughter with her quick wit and notoriously funny stories of growing up in the biz. She will sing a couple of amateur songs by a fellow named Follo followed by the Prayer song, God Bless Johnny, written by her accompanist and friend, John Meyer. It will clearly be evident that this living legend that has grown up in the public eye is still adored after all these years. - Chris Stevens
