On behalf of our Lady Vice Chair and the executive of the Womens League of the Peoples National Movement, we would like to pay tribute to Ms. Irene Hinds and the organizing committee in particular, for a job well done. Our Master of Ceremonies Melissa James who hails from Tobago and is also the Vice Chair of Tobago Womens League was an impeccable choice. Special thanks are also extended to Mr. Murchison Browne who gave a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem, as well as to the members of the clergy – Ms. Marsha Browne, Mrs. Debra Deoiesingh, Ms. Heabba Muhammud, and of course Councillor Gail La Touche.for their heartfelt prayers Thanks are also being extended to Mr. Stanford Callender who sang God on the Mountain, Ms. Marlene Felix who sang Bridge over troubled waters, Mrs. Natasha Tim Kee who sang The Prayer. We also say that you to Mr. Tyrell Toby for his hair raising rendition of Change is Gonna Come, the dance by The North West Region Dance Group, Mr. Econ Alves, Mr. Rondell Donawa, Pink Panther and last but not least to Peter C. Lewis for their performances. Our Political Leader Dr. the Honourable Keith Rowley took us down memory lane and continued to remind us that we are in a campaign mode. His theme was celebrating the past/Engaging the Future. Party Chairman, Mr. Franklyn Khan, gave the Welcome Remarks and was presented with a copy of the Officers’ Handbook by Mrs.Joan Yuille-Williams. Mr. Ashton Ford General Secretary, introduced the nominees, who collected a token of appreciation for their continued loyalty, dedication and hard work to and for the party, Following is the list of nominees: Alston Hodge Betty Browne Norma Kistow Monica Ferguson Edna Kingston Margaret Mc Phie Winston Campbell Nafeesa Mohammed David Cromwell Murchison Browne Cynthia Alfred Roodlal Lalman Eunice Murray Overand Padmore and Henry Burton Last but by no means least, a very special thank you to Our Lady Vice Chair who delivered the Vote of Thanks in true ‘Camille Robinson Regis style’. There is truly no other like her and we are blessed to have her as our Lady Vice Chairman. In case we neglected to mention any other person who assisted in making this function the success that it was, to you we say our sincerest Thank You. To all those who attended, this event would not have been the success that it was had you not taken the time to attend – for this we are ever so grateful. As usual let me end by saying GREAT IS THE PNM, GREAT IS THE PNM AND WE SHALL PREVAIL
