On last Sunday, my pastor, Wayne Lomax, rendered an eloquent sermon entitled Choose. He reminds of that it’s a choice and usually the minority that takes a different type of stand. We can choose to continue to go along with (as tired as we may be) how Miami and in this case Florida handles our Black males or we can stop and seek another angle of how to respond; what we must do. I do not profess to know the answer. Though I am against violence and even losing another Black male to jail or prison, can we not do more than vent and cry? Martin Luther King wrote "Where Do We Go From Here? Chaos or Community". Either we choose to save our community through sacrifice by doing what may be uncomfortable or we continue in chaos.
