On this day (Nov. 11) in 1965: it was the final recording session for The Beatles Rubber Soul album at Abbey Road Studios in London; they needed three more tracks to finish the LP, so an old song, Wait, was pulled off the shelf & the group recorded two new numbers from start to finish - Pauls You Wont See Me & Johns Girl, the basic tracks for both songs being completed in two takes; Rubber Soul was put to bed & pressed copies of the album were in the shops by December 3 in the UK (on Parlophone Records) & December 6 in the US (on Capitol Records)…
