On this day in 1994 I happened to be at Ebb Airport to pick my Dad on a late night BA flight, on the same flight was Baroness Linda Chalker then overseas development minister and darling to NRM. I accesed the VIP lounge (it was restricted cause of repairs by dragados). To receive Chalker were Paul Ssemogerere, Amb. Mugume (then Protocol chief) Michael Frost Dy High Commissioner and Anna Bozelo of the BBC. There was a human tragedy unraveling in Goma in Rwandan refugee camps. I was only 17 so these eminent persons assumed I was too young to be interested in their chat as I waited for Dad to clear with security n luggage. What I heard continues to shock me to this day. The British are fickle allies of the African people. One day, Isha Allah I will publish my memoirs and reveal this secret!!!!
