One day I am sure I will be compelled to write a book about a charming scalawag little black cat who goes by the misnomer, The Vicar. As I have mentioned before, he is wildly inappropriately named. He is also a HUGE personality. Show him a closed box and it becomes his instant and unwavering mission to OPEN it. By whatever means available to him and no matter how long it takes. And now he has discovered a closed box wrapped in Christmas paper. And the box was hidden in a cupboard. While I was in the bathtub. He does know how to choose his times for mayhem. Today he has gotten into more than even his fair share of mischief. He tried to open a bag of Zapps Potato Chips while I was carting groceries in from the garage. Why? No clue. Perhaps he thought I was hiding pistachios in there. And the frozen turkey? Maybe he is teething. God only knows because my cats normally dont get on the counters. Fortunately he abandoned the turkey when he saw me aiming a pot lid at his head. I am bracing for a long night. I would ask for prayers but am not sure who will need them the most.
