One focus at the CGI 2010 Annual Meeting was market-based approaches and how local markets can be harnessed to protect the environment. After exploring the topic, The Nature Conservancy and the Inter-American Development Bank made a Commitment to Action to expand on a model called Water Funds by bringing it to five communities in Latin America. Since then, the partnership has surpassed that goal with great success.
