One man is dead and another arrested and charged after a bar altercation turned to a case of murder. Police arrested 39 year-old Daniel Garza and charged him with the murder of 26 year-old Miguel Vasquez. Detectives say Vasquez tried to break up a disturbance inside a bar in the 4500 block of Loop 1604 North early Saturday morning. They say Garza shot Vasquez in the upper torso. Vasquez later died at University Hospital. The shooting happened just before 2 a.m. Saturday. Police say officers already working an unrelated incident got flagged down by people on the balcony of the bar. The witnesses told police a man had been shot, and suspects were trying to leave the scene. Officers rushed to the bar and caught people in the parking lot trying to get away. They say Daniel Garza was one of those suspects. Officers collected evidence on scene, and police say that evidence is related to the shooting death. Police say Garza is now facing a murder charge. #KSATnews
