One of my favorite TV shows growing up. I was one of the Bronx Little Rascals. Color, nationality or creed did not really matter. I had all in my classrooms during my 12 years in the NYC public school system. My favorite hooky story [and that term goes back to going fishing instead of going to school] is...my mother was going to work and I did not feel like going to school. As she was getting dressed I snuck into the bathroom and placed a washcloth to my forehead and placed both on the radiator. As she was leaving the apartment I said I am not feeling well and think have a fever. She touched my hot forehead and said Stay home, I will call your teacher and tell her you wont be going to school . A next door neighbor checked in with me every so often to see if I feeling better and if she could do anything for me. She brought food and comfort. Meanwhile, I was watching the Little Rascals along with the morning reruns {I Love Lucy, The Dick Van Dyke Show] assorted game shows and the cartoons the appeared in the afternoon. By the time Mom came home I was feeling much better and helped her make dinner. I was a little rascal!!!!!!
