One red ceramic poppy for each Canadian, British, Australian, New - TopicsExpress

One red ceramic poppy for each Canadian, British, Australian, New Zealand, and other Commonwealth soldier who died in World War I. Much of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment is in that sea of poppies, RIP all of them. And damn the generals to hell on both sides who sent their troops in human waves against barbed wire and machine guns hoping to bleed the other side dry. The Germans (Axis Powers) ran out of blood first and lost the war - what a bestial way to fight a war that wasnt about right and wrong, it was just politics and too much nationalism on all fronts. No wonder two such world wars has left nearly all of Europe in a post-national state of mind, and willing to give up some sovereignty to join the peace-promoting European Union.
