Open Question... Our team is preparing a new exhibit for Creativ Festival for April. We are jumping back in Dr Evils Time Machine to the 70s. We are doing an entire exhibit tribute to Studio 54, Shaggn Wagons, 70s Decor and Fashion. Truth is, we have vintage patterns from McCalls and even Patons where there is Macrame. My question is, does anyone know if a newer name than Macrame exists for the same art form. When I say the name, I think of my grandmother as she had Macrame Hanging Plant Holders and Wall Decor. I remember she had a Macrame Owl on the wall. Im not sure she did it herself... Just the word Macrame strikes me as old and how do I put this politely... BLAH! Im just wondering if there is a newer or hipper name to the art.
