Orale! Day 4! Master of musical ceremonies Mike Wellman got me in - TopicsExpress

Orale! Day 4! Master of musical ceremonies Mike Wellman got me in on this so here goes!: Pick a song a day for five days and tag three music lovin friends ta share with...simple right? This time, I tag Ruben Gerard, Kathryn S Renta and Diamond David Atchison, who in my humble opinion not only do they have great taste in music, but their sensibilities and respect for history are to aspire to...So there! For them, I choose a little gem of a song written in 1924 by Yellen and Ager, and brought to life by the always entertaining Van Halen. A great departure from their usual kind of sound, it not only features the classic line up of David Lee Roth, Michael Anthony, and the Van Halen brothers but also their musical matriarch father Jan Van Halen on clarinet. Having lost a finger in an accident years earlier, Jan sadly stopped playing, but eventually was encouraged by the boys to come back and the results are just astounding! This song always reminds me of my own musical matriarch pop as well...sniff! So, ENJOY!
