Our Father,We thank you for the power that belongs to us as soldiers and servants of the King. We thank you for equipping us and not leaving us defenseless. We thank you that the same power that raised Christ from the dead, lives in us. At times we feel weak...at times we feel that we cant face, let alone win, the battles before us, but you say otherwise...you say we can do all things through Christ and that we are more than conquerors! May we cling to those words and make them our truth. It is not by our might...there is nothing that we can boast of on our own...but by your power and your strength flowing through us, we are reminded who we are in you...who we belong to... how we are loved, protected and cared for and that you our Father, have made sure that as we follow you, we are equipped by your hand for everything we will face. Lord, we know that our struggles are not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, principalities, the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. There are battles raging all around us and our enemy is looking for every way he can to discourage us, to make us feel defeated and unworthy and to make us question you. He knows our weak areas, he exploits them and he does not fight fair. Lord, as we look at this picture may we be reminded to daily put on our spiritual armor. You equip your children, but how often we forget to arm ourselves to face the day...may that be our first thought upon waking...to use the tools youve given us to overcome. May we remember that we need each other...you are in the midst where believers gather in your name. We thank you for your heavenly hosts that stand united with us and protecting us...help us to remember that we are surrounded by a heavenly realm that we cant yet see...there is so much at stake...help us to keep the bigger picture in mind always. Lord, the life of a Christian is not easy, or for cowards. You tell us that we will have trials, share in Christs suffering and be persecuted for righteousness sake. So many who have gone before us have been martyred and persecuted and it is happening today and increasing drastically. We lift all those who are in harms way and we pray for their protection, freedom and deliverance. Lord, fill us with your Spirit and your holy boldness. Fill us with your strength and courage. There is power in the blood and the name of Jesus and we are calling on your name now to quench the fiery darts of the enemy in our lives. We claim the victory that is ours because you have already won the war. We bless you, praise you and thank you for going before us in all of our battles! In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
