Our analogies merely point to what we already believe to be true - TopicsExpress

Our analogies merely point to what we already believe to be true when debating a thing. The analogies we use cannot determine the truth itself. The pursuit of many truths is predicated upon things in our past that we have already determined to be true. Sometimes we simply need to start over. There appears to be enough flaws in Darwin for example that we are behooved to take a good look at our basic attitudes. As we do this the emotions can have no place among rational thought. A highly noted atheist exclaimed about his great relief when he came to the full realization that there is no God. To make a space for this type of emotional display in the pursuit of truth can only obscure the issue whether its pro or con on an issue. Obscurities immediately cloud the consciousness when we begin to think with emotional energies or through our emotional screens. To become an evangelist for unbelief speaks to the idea that we are countering something called, belief. This is not only true in atheistic thoughts, this is also true among the unbelief in Christendom. There is no evidence or proof for the idea of not believing in God. A negative cannot be proven, to try to prove a negative readily reveals our emotional screen. Obscurities and darkness in our thoughts occur when our emotions govern us. There is no conscious unbelief until somebody first did not like the idea of belief. This reveals our emotional screen.
