Our dear Jessica has just share with us one more brilliant work of her! Here is an alternate recording of my previously shared Saltarello arranged for mountain dulcimer... It is a 14th century dance piece that was typical of the Middle Ages and Renaissance; it is simply known as a Saltarello. Apparently this piece was used to accompany a type of courtly dance, presumably one that involved a great deal of leaping, since saltare means to leap in Italian. I dedicate this piece to all you revelers and lovers of fun! Thanks Jessica Comeau!
