Our first project today does not yet have a name! This sweet little girl was taken to the Las Vegas local shelter after being hit by a car. Unfortunately, our city shelter does not have the means to treat dogs who come in with serious injuries, so they were going to have to put her to sleep. Fortunately, a very nice family came forward and offered to foster her so that Second Chance rescue could pull her. So on January 23rd they picked her up from the shelter and took her straight to the vet. They performed some x-rays that showed her pelvis is badly broken, requiring surgery, and also that she may have some spine problems that would need further surgery. This of course is a very costly surgery, her x-rays alone were $280. So the rescue is asking for the publics help to get this sweet baby her surgery. She is about 2 years old, and a long hair Chihuahua mix, her foster home is currently brainstorming a name that fits her sweet disposition. Thank you in advance for any help!
