Our last Dinner Train of the season ran this Saturday, with a Brunch at 10:00 and a Dinner at 4:00. 140 diners enjoyed the day and we closed down the train with panache. This year we experimented a bit and reviews from our patrons reflected our efforts. Wed like to the crew at ARC who provided us with outstanding catering services, especially Chef Jennifer, who understood exactly what makes a meal special. Weve already begun the updates for next year, so watch for our 2014 schedule to enjoy a step back into the great days of the Dining Cars. And work continues on the addition of Car #1084 to our fleet. Steel work will be completed soon and the interior work will begin with an emphasis on returning the car to its 1952 appearance. New electric systems, full air conditioning, the completion of the kitchen area are past the initial planning stage and our restoration team is roughing the work and measuring things in.
