Our military has men and women who are good moral human beings. People who are there to help others during any chance that presents its self. People who treat all, even the enemy with respect. Our military also is composed of men and women who would rape, plunder pillage and murder their way across a war zone. People who would kill and torture just to satisfy their own sadistic needs. There are three reasons to join the military. First is a sense of duty for ones country. Often these people come from a family tradition of service or their family is new to a country and they wish to prove their worth to their new country. Second is the poor kid who just needs a job. Someone who is looking to fit in someplace that provides a paycheck. The third is a natural born killer who just needs a theatre where they can put their sick desires to practice without fear of punishment. Our military is very proficient at utilizing all three. But a very fundamental question must be asked. If we go to war, what kind of war are we fighting? Are we there to free an inslaved people or are we there to completely destroy an enemy. Clearly the majority of the people of this age see the genocide of a nation as a great evil. Citizens are more likely to support a war if they are told it is to help bring freedom and democracy. But the truth is, more often than not these are just words used as propaganda while the true reason for war is so a select group of people can grow rich. They grow rich at the expence of the nation being attacked and at the expence of the tax paying citizens of the home country. These people claim patriotism but in fact care only about their own bank accounts. Because these war mongers and profiteers of anarchy are amoral they often use the latter soilder from the three groups. The natural born killers because they too are amoral. A military must answer ultimately to the people of the nation they repersent and if those people are a good people who want a better world for all there is no place for murders and rapists at home or on the streets of a foreign country. That is why these murders and rapists often end up in the employment of private security forces. In our country we have the USMJC and military codes of honor to make sure those who serve do not cross the line into evil. Private contractors have no such codes. So if we are to be a truly moral people, the question must be asked, why do we employee these contractors to guard our embassies. At one time it was the duty of US Marines. A branch of service of high moral codes. Yet today we use murders and rapist who work for private companies. These mercenaries are also war profiteers who care only about their personal bank accounts and a chance to bring death and destruction. A embassy is supposed to be an extension of a nation. A representative of a people in a foreign land. What kind of message does it send the citizens of the host country when we employee murders and rapist to represent us? With all this being said, cleary the majority of people in America and those who serve her are good moral people. We the common people, do dont care about world domination and the destruction of other nations. We are not trying to wipe a race or religious group. But we have allowed those who serve evil and greed positions in our society. They are in the halls of our government, our banking system and throughout the military industrial complex. Why do we allow these people to dictate our national policy, to serve in our military, to guard our embassies. There is a reason the world hates us. It is because we the people, have allowed catch phrases like Support the Troops to blind us of the truth. There are many good men and women who truly want to serve their country in the most honorable of ways serving in our military. They are willing to lay down their lives if necessary for the higher cause. But for some reason we the common people have allowed those who would waist those precious honorable lives to hold positions of power. We are taught to thank our veterans for their service. But how do we know if that veteran was a soilder of good or a baby killer? How do we know if that soilder protected the innocent or raped it. Until we set a higher standard for those we allow to serve our country... until we stop useing hired mercenaries to guard our embassies and citizens abroad we will remain the great evil in the eyes of the world. We are responsible for the making of our enemies. We must weed out the evil in our own ranks. If we dont there is no hope for America or the world. P.S. We can start with Dick Cheney
