Our trash pickup is on Fridays. Since we dont have a garbage disposal, our garbage and trash starts to accumulate by the end of the week end. So...my solution is to take one or two bags down to our friendly neighborhood Marsh grocerys dumpster on Mondays. Well, our Marsh decided to get a new kind of dumpster. This one is MUCH taller than the old one and I couldnt lift the lid. So I propped it up with a random box and heaved the heavy, overfilled bag to the opening nearly higher than my head. As I shoved and shoved the bag, my hand went completely through the tissue thin cheapo bag and the weekends goop, a combination of used cat litter, ripe melon guts, and other such loveliness, rained down on me, my shirt, my watch, and dripping off my arms. I had to drive home with this all over me. My Moms comment? You better not be putting stuff in that dumpster. Something bad is going to happen. Really?
