Our twin spacecrafts, STEREO A and STEREO B, are able to see a very different side of the Sun. Here is one great view from Stereo B (Behind) of a truly amazing looking ejection. We call these Coronal Mass Ejections, where solar plasma (charged particles) are ejected off and away from the Sun. With the right force and speed, an ejection like this can flee the Suns gravitational pull and travel throughout our solar system. Parts which do not have the necessary speed get pulled back into the Sun. Credit: NASA STEREO
