Out of curiosity, what would happen if a man married a man in NY, then they came to Florida and each man married a woman? Is it bigamy if its committed in a state that does not recognize gay marriage? If so, who prosecutes? NY does not have the jurisdiction to prosecute a crime committed in another state, the federal government does not force one state to recognize anothers laws on gay marriage, and Florida would have to acknowledge the NY wedding in order to assert that a crime has been committed.
