Out of the last two Super Rugby matches between the Melbourne - TopicsExpress

Out of the last two Super Rugby matches between the Melbourne Rebels and the Hurricanes the Rebels have won once and the Hurricanes one. The Rebels and the Hurricanes have only played each other twice in Super Rugby. They missed each other in the draw in 2013 so the only time they have met was in 2011 and 2012. Those two matches were played on a home and away basis so there are not enough statistics to establish a trend. The average score when the Rebels play the Hurricanes is Rebels 33 Hurricanes 46 and they have both won their matches at home. The Rebels have played nine matches so far this season and they have won three matches. Five of their 9 matches were played at home and they have won three. This gives the Rebels a record of winning 60% of their home matches. The Hurricanes on the other hand have played 10 matches and they have won five. Five of the ten matches have been played away from home and they have only won one. The Hurricanes were the form team in Super Rugby but they lost to the Waratahs last week. Last week early in the first half they blew the Waratahs away but then allowed their host to come back and eventually secure a comfortable 39-30 victory. The Rebels were also beaten last week (16-22) by the Sharks but finished strongly against the tournament leaders. They have made two changes for this weeks match and they have lost Nic Stirzaker who has been one of their form players. The Hurricanes have adjusted their forward pack for this match with Ardie Savea starting. This Match will be shown on TV in NZ, Aus, SA and in the UK on Sky Sports 3/HD.
