Over consumption of calories leads to an increase in body fat, a diet high in carbohydrates or fats does not link directly to fat gain. As long as your macronutrient needs are accounted for within your calorie allowance then there is no issue. I consume anywhere from 300-500g carbohydrates per day and if anything, I have gotten leaner over past few weeks. Timing of carbohydrates in my opinion is important if body composition is your goal. I do not really function well with carbohydrates early in the day or before training! Learn what works for you but do not believe the hype that certain macronutrients can lead to fat gain. Overconsumption of calories = fat gain. Simples 👊
