Over that last several weeks, my best friend since undergraduate at the Ohio State has been dealing with the fact that he has Stage 4 Cancer of the Stomach (AdenoCarcinoma). Its hard to believe how quickly the cancer has progressed. After one Chemo treatment, the cancer has continued to grow. To think just a few weeks ago I was just going to move him to a new apartment in Columbus, last Sunday I went back to Ohio to move hiim down to Kentucky to be with his family and hopefully find a way to fight the Cancer. Who knew the cost of presciptions would cost so much. Who knew health insurance could suck (we are very lucky with Tri-Care, is all I am saying). Anyway, David and I go back 25 years and is the best bud anyone could ask for. He has been there for me through so much including both my parents deaths. I am now turning to everyone I know, and ask your help. We are trying to raise some money to deter the cost of prescriptions, medical equipment, living expenses, etc. I would like to say his family could help; yet, I cannot. His mother requires assistance gettinf around and his brother is on disability and live in Kentucky if that does give an indication of how necessary this may be. We have set up a website to manage the fundraising. I humbly ask your support with a few dollars to help him, his family, and his friends. I have been with him over the last week, I must have done something because the day I arrive in Ohio to help him move he went back into the hospital and found out the cancer was very aggressive. I am now in Kentucky with him and his family to get him settled in and comfortable for and indefinate period of time. Please check it out and if possible throw a few dollars his way.
