Overview: The class of 2017 needs a strong, motivated person to keep our first year rolling. Rolling meaning enjoyable, entertainable, and somewhat interesting. I will make sure that will happen. Right now, the primary concern for the prep class is the settling into the new world of Phillips Exeter Academy. Equally, my goal, as a candidate for the prep class representative, is to sustain and expand the benefits we preps enjoy. Some of you may think that I am already doing fine, and there is no need for adjustment. Or some of you are in the opposite end of the spectrum, asking for a clear-cut change. I will strongly take all your opinion, create a solid conclusion, and become the key liaison between the school and our class. As you may know, without a strong voice, the prep class will never be heard even in the community of Exeter. I am willing to devote my time and effort to deliver that very voice for all of your best interest. I am willing to speak out against, without fear of consequences, if the active student council passes a decision to threaten the well being of our prep class, and speak out for what we need, what we want, and what we see as important. I will make sure that I, with the help of the two other representatives, form opportunities for you all to come together and become a solid, enjoyable, interesting, and unique class. I know I could read these words and recite these while sitting in the bathtub, but I wish to put them into action. I know for sure that if I become a representative, I will do my best to speak out for my peers and friends. I wish to make all of these happen. We really can’t always sit back and just follow orders and do what we are told. We must think for ourselves and make changes if those orders are not what we truly believe as “right” as the entire community. We must look forward.
