PART 3 Why Study Seerah? The word seerah is only used for the biography of the Prophet (PBUH). Allah has commanded us to know Prophet Muhammad to take him as an example Seerah is the best way to increase our love for Prophet. If we claim that we love him and doesn’t study about him is a fact that we don’t really love him The seerah helps us to understand the Quran through context. Allah looked at the purest and the brightest hearts among all his servants and chose Prophet Muhammad as his messenger and then He looked at the next purest and brightest hearts and chose his Sahabas. Instead of reading bedtime stories of Roman pagans why not we tell our kids the life and times of our Prophet (SAW). In pre Islamic Arabia the Arabs were of two categories. 1.The extinct Arabs they were the earliest civilization of humanity in the Arabian peninsula. E.g; Aadh and Samoodh 2.The second group of Arabs are those still remaining they were divided into two tribes, the Gahtan and Adnan (Lecture series by Dr. Yasir Qadhi)
