PETULANT GARGOYLES - Number One Questions were raised in the house yesterday as to the whereabouts of my girls - the 5 chickens who occupy a special place in my heart. There were dark mutterings indeed from Janet Clough, who I suspect thinks I may have introduced them into our dietary regime here on the Ardhachaidh Estate. I can assure you, Janet, and all our lovely readers, that Immy, Minne, Hilde, Trudi and Heidi are all in cracking form. Images taken at feeding time yesterday show them running to get their bread and corn and raisins and broccoli from the hands of the Fair Moo, before ambling back to their clean and roomy HQ.
