PHOENIX – A small aircraft has made an emergency landing on Interstate 8 eastbound near the junction with State Route 84, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. The eastbound lanes of I-8 are closed and traffic is being routed to SR 84 eastbound. Drivers traveling to the Phoenix area, may take SR 84 east to State Route 347 north to Interstate 10 west. Motorists trying to reach Tucson should take SR 84 east to State Route 387 north to I-10 east. There is no estimated time to reopen the highway and drivers should expect delays. The westbound lanes remain open.
