PIA-3/PAMPANGA: An official of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) recently reminded newly elected local officials to ease on terminating employees in their respective municipalities. Lawyer Ariel Ronquillo, CSC assistant commissioner, said the concerned officials cannot abuse their authority to terminate employees whom they suspiciously think are "loyal" to their political rivals. He explained that the government employees who rendered long years of service are entitled to security of tenure and cannot be terminated from office without valid grounds. [05]
