PINOYS IN KUWAIT: FYI PHILIPPINE EMBASSY: AGENDA – CONTINGENCY PLAN --Contingency plan in order to prepare if the conflict in Syria escalates. Some points has been discussed and shared by Consul General Raul Dado according to his experience in War. The Philippine Embassy have cited options on how the Filipino community will prepare: 1. The Philippine Embassy will designate coordinators on all Governorates and provide a shelter if possible (gyms, school, etc..) and to have a rally point in case of Mass Evacuation. Whoever wants to be a coordinator in his/her area just send an email to [email protected] 2. The Philippine Embassy has given us 3 Options in case the war escalates: --Stay at Home (everyone agree that the house is the most safest place) --If have the capability, buy your tickets and go vacation to Philippines or any country of choice --Convoy Exit to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia if needed 3. The Philippine Embassy will rent a land near the Saudi Boarder to be a shelter in case they close the Saudi Boarder same as what happen during the liberation. 4. Some safety measures was shared by Medical team, Present during the Occupation and Liberation war: --Always have sufficient stock of food and water in case you decide to stay at home. --This is a different scenario than the previous war as there will be no land invasion. We are just preparing in case Syria use their Chemical weapon. --The Government of Kuwait and Philippine Embassy cannot provide Gas Masks to all expatriates so the best medical advise is use a wet towel for cover. Seal all doors and windows including ventilation and if possible put a ground wet charcoal all over it as charcoal absorbs chemicals in the air. --Make sure you have money for your expenses. --Keep your passport with you all the time. 5.
