PLEASE HELP, we need to find a home for our sweet chinchilla, Dexter. He is my daughters pet and last year she suffered a horrible case of mononucleosis and now her immune system is compromised. She still has a lot of issues and last week we found out that she is allergic to him and to his dust baths. He has not had an easy life. He is about 3.5 years old and when he was one we rescued him from a horrible situation. It took him MONTHS to let us near him. Now he loves to be pet under the chin and on his head and even does little tricks for treats. If you sit on the floor he will sit on your lap but really loves jumping around. He does not like to be picked up yet but with lots of love and work I think its possible. If anyone knows of an animal lover who would be willing to love him, please let me know.
