PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE VIEWING - DANGEROUS OPERATIONAL POWER AHEAD: LET HEAVEN COME! ROMANS 8:18-27 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. 24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. First of all, thank you John Cummings for sharing this worship video with me. This is the most powerful worship video I have ever seen by a group of very talented musicians and worship leaders. The reason I am writing this is more out of my own need to express what I see in this than anything. This video touches a raw nerve that runs deep, I believe, in all of this. The music I love. These musicians are not necessarily the best and the brightest in their craft, meaning I am not sure from the videos there are any virtuosos here, but more importantly, they are one of the best bands I have seen who have captured something in their worship that is rarely seen. They play together well – and in that they are virtuosos. I have played in bands with many good musicians, but any musician worth their salt will tell you they would trade all the “star” players for ones that listen to one another. In the world, one of the greatest technically adept guitar players is a man named Robert Fripp. He founded a rather dark band called “King Crimnson.” In a talk with an audience he was asked, “What makes a truly master musician?.” To which his reply was “Learning to Listen.” That is what makes a great musician, one who can listen and tune in to his fellow musicians and can enjoy making up some part of a whole. Good Christian musicians take that a step further by being tuned into God. No great revelation in that. But this is what makes these musicians really great. They listen well! So the purpose of this description of this video is to ask you to listen to it again and really listen and watch at what is going on. If it hasn’t already impacted you, it will. This song starts off rather light and ballad like then with the chorus, echos the Lord’s prayer. Then there is the point where Jenn Johnson starts to sing “Let Heaven Come.” This refrain taps into something if you are a christian that is deep to the core. I found myself literally rising to my feet, hands in air crying and shouting “Let Heaven Come!” Singing and even shouting it louder and louder with every part of my being. The feelings I experience at this moment would be what I believe it will be when Jesus pierces the clouds and in your heart you will say “It is done, we have finished the race, there is no other focus any more than to stand before God’s throne and worship Him.” Sudden waves of release from the cares of all that this world has put upon you, all the struggles, all the battles, all the weights, all the tribulation – all gone in that moment and just the pure power and love of God overwhelming your very being. It is a place God wants us to be at all the time and yet we all struggle so much to stay there 24/7. But in that moment there will be no struggle anymore. The scripture above is so poignant. Particularly what came to my mind is “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now” and “18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” This worship song taps into that very same nerve deep within our spirits. That is what makes this such a powerful worship song and video. What makes this really great is that I can’t watch it without it taking me there, again and again every time. I hope you experience that too. Let Heaven Come! The Spirit and the Bride say Come Lord Jesus Come! https://youtube/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ln9Ls_fIqe0
