PLEASE READ There is a plane in the air, full of passengers. The flight attendants talk to two of the passengers seperately. To one passenger they hand a parachute. They tell him "put on this parachute, it will make your plane ride more enjoyable" as this passenger puts on the chute he goes and sits down. He soon realizes that its not easy to sit with it on. Not only that but hes ridiculed for wearing it. He takes off the chute and not only that, hes angry because he was he feels lied to (which he was) he swears to never put thebchute on again. The other passenger is handed the parachute and told that at some point he will have to jump out of the plane. Knowing that he doesnt want to jump without it he keeps the parachute on at all times. Despite the ridicule or it being hardbtovwesr at times he keeps it on. It comes time to jump and he is one among others that kept on their chute. How many of us are falsely taught that Gods plan for you is happiness and wealth. They are telling you that Jesus makes life (the ride) more enjoyable. How many of us are taught that the wages of sin is death. An eternity in hell. But that Jesus Christ died so that we may be washed clean. They are telling you that you will have to jump (die) and that by believing in Jesus as the Son of God that you will live. The apostles died for what they preached and it was not "Your best life now" as Joel Osteen would tell you. Some of their backs were scarred from lashings. They counted it as an honor. but how many of you have told people that Jesus makes the ride more enjoyable. They will disbelieve as soonbas it gets hard. Abundance oflife is not material wealth it is happiness and joy even in a furnace of persecution. It is praising God even while you are being stoned.
