Brought in as a stray, he is limping on one of his hind legs, only partially weight bearing. HE IS NEW HOPE RESCUE ONLY so a rescue can help a foster or adopter with vetting costs. But take a good look at Jonathan, he is awfully cute. He basically is New Hope because he displayed resource guarding and bit the plastic hand during the food bowl and rawhide test. NO ONE SHOULD FORGET STRAYS HAVE LITTLE OR NOTHING AND NEED TO GUARD WHAT THEY DO HAVE. We should NOT judge the dog based on that and decide he should die here. On intake Jonathan was friendly, liked petting, walked well. He likes other dogs. An experienced owner can offer training to correct any resource guarding.
