PLEASE help! warning, last photo extremely graphic. Last month this doe was struck by a speeding truck. Our photos tell the story upon our arrival. Julia Di Sieno co-founder of ART, Inc. presented the incident and photos to our city of Solvang council requesting a stop sign be immediatly installed on Chalk Hill road. Many local native wildlife have been displaced as a result of the large skytt Mesa housing development, pushing the deer towards Friedensberg canyon where far too many deer are hit by speeders weekly. This area has 2 elementary schools, a retirement facility, local COS park and cemetery. We need your help by calling city of Solvang expressing your concerns by supporting our request in keeping our children, pedestrians, pets and wildlife safe. Thank you for caring.
