PRAYER & FASTING (wordfirst) OCTOBER 9 – 11, 2013 THE PURPOSE OF THE FAST IS 3 FOLD 1. To release yourself from all that belongs to the old and to enter into the new things or dimensions God has in store for you and the Ministry. The pouring forth of new wine into our lives. (Mark 2:18-22) 2. To receive supernatural enablement at this moment through Divine direction for you, your Career and the ministry that there will be no dependency on any outside entity which will produce slavery. (Ezra 8:21, 22) 3.To receive power to speak words that will transform your situation and literally call into existence things that be not as though they are. To increase the power in your words and confessions. (Isaiah 40:26-31) The practice of the fast is 4 fold. It is assumed that you are praying alongside these 4 practices Nehemiah 9: 1 Now in the 24th day of the month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting… and the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers and stood and confessed their sins…and they stood up in their place and read in the book of the law of their God 1/4th part of the day and another 1/4th part they confessed and worshipped. 4 things they did 1. They confessed their sins 2. They read the Word for 1/4 of the time 3. They confessed the Word 4. They worshipped for another 1/4 of the time So spend your time reading and meditating, declaring the Word and worshipping. Don’t forget the power in a fast is not generated by the hunger (lack of food) but by meditation in the Word, confessions of faith, prayers and in worship. The power is released into your life through prophetic utterances at things and by praise DAY 1 – PRAYER POINTS 1. Confess any known sins to God and renounce them with your words. Declare to the sins that as far as the east is from the west, God has put all away from you through the blood of Jesus. Declare to the cords of iniquity that they are completely broken off your life. Declare boldly that you are cleansed through the blood completely. Declare to your body and soul that any relationship with sin is severed and totally broken that you have been bought from sins by the Blood of Jesus. Say to them that they are both under the influence of Grace. Declare that by the blood to all prison doors they are opened up that nothing holds you back i.e. consequence of past mistakes are opened up. The lawful captives are set free. If you have aught against any call them by name and say I release you and let you go and hold that confession even if you still feel ugly towards them. Declare to any tongue of condemnation over your life that they wax old like a garment and are eaten up by moths [Isaiah 50: 9] 2. Come boldly then to God in thanksgiving for the fast and the outpouring of the Spirit. Thank Him for the supernatural additions the Spirit has wrought in your life during the fast. 3. Pray that through the supply of the Spirit released during this fast He will plant in the wilderness the fir tree, the oil tree set in the desert place the pine tree that all may see understand and know that this is what the hand of the Lord has done. Very unusual things will grow out of your life that the excellency of the power will be seen to be of God and not you. [Read Isaiah 41: 17- 20, 44: 2-4] God’s determination during this fast is to cause the unusual and the unpredictable things to spring forth and be made visible in your life. You will see some of these things as you meditate in the Word when you see them mutter them to yourself. Have no regard for the past it has no say in the future He is about to make visible. The greatest hindrance to His arrangement is holding on to the pain of past events let it and the people go. It is important to document things you see in the Word and to say them. Declare that as the Spirit separated Paul to his work during a fast you also are opened to the things God has in store for you that you might not know. Declare to the Spirit of God in you that; “I authorize You through these words I speak to separate me unto the things God has planned for me and those things also unto me”. BIBLE READINGS: Isaiah 44: 1 -3 Isaiah 41:17 – 20 Isaiah 43: 18 -19 Mark 2:18- 22 and; Isaiah 42: 9 Meditate on these scriptures and then declare what you see and praise God for them. DAY 2 – PRAYER POINTS 1. Supernatural guidance for yourself, your career and the ministry that God would grant insight into the right way that His hand might be evident in all we do. [Ezra 8:21] 2. We ask for the life (Zoe) of all we have believed for this season that He will deposit into our spirit the spiritual substance of those things. 3. Healing of all wounds from the past and the breaking of attachments to the past by birthing of events and things that will represent the New and will comfort and heal us erasing the memory of anything limiting thing from the past. [Isaiah 61: 1-4] 4. We ask for a strong supply of the ministry of the Word to our lives through wordfirst and as the Spirit leads DAY 3 – PRAYER POINTS 1. Pray that God will open supernatural doors for us in schools so that we can witness to people about the gospel with signs and wonders being confirmed by God. 2. God said we should go and bear fruits and we should make an effort that our fruits will remain. Based on this we are praying for the various projects in this ministry to remain. Y.D.P. , Eagles club,Go-hard, Outreaches, Healing Streams, Joel Company,Homecells, CCU and other departments to be birth 3. Those who worship Him (God) must worship Him in spirit and in truth. Pray that we as a ministry will become true worshippers and genuine seekers 4. Spend the rest of the day to thank God for answered prayers
