PRESERVATION ALERT! The Historic Preservation Commission voted last night to recommend two new Historic Landmarks to City Council. The first is a garden apartment complex at 833 S. Orange Grove Blvd. designed by Harold Bissner and son in 1958. The second is the 1908 Kenneth Newell Avery artists studio at 377 Arroyo Terrace. Each property qualifies as a landmark under the Citys Criterion C because of their distinctive building types, architectural styles, and their respective periods in Pasadenas development history. Pasadena Heritage is excited to support these nominations and will recommend their designations to the City Council. *BELLEGROVE GARDEN APARTMENTS IMAGES Photographs: ICF International, except where indicated.
