PRESS RELEASE Benegas Brothers Expeditions announce that we are headed home from Everest, unable to continue in this year’s treacherous Khumbu Icefall conditions. We take this season’s early closure as an opportunity to honour and grieve for the lives of the sixteen Sherpas who died in the catastrophic avalanche of Friday 18th April 2014. Our love, tears and support go out to all those who have lost family and friends as a result of this tragedy, as well as our gratitude and ongoing support to all those who were involved in the huge rescue effort that took place last Friday and Saturday.
