PRESS RELEASE Elaeons development in the Balkans By starting with Skopje as its first stop, hyphen SA - a Greek company based in Thessaloniki - aims at penetrating into Balkans. The αriston project is a company of educational expertise based in the UK and a partner of hyphen SA in northern Greece, which is the only company in Europe actively involved in educational and publishing engineering. For this purpose, hyphen SA board and more specifically, its president Mr. Yannis Stergis and executive director Mr. Antonis Mavromatis, have recently visited Skopje. A new Elaeon has already been established, in cooperation with a local company, meaning that a centre for training and development of the αriston project is operational. During their visit in the capital of FYROM, hyphen’s directors have met a group of businessmen and young people, who are interested in following the αriston project educational programmes through the local Elaeon. The Elaeon in Skopje is expected to look further into the digital spread of the αriston project educational programmes in Egypt, Tunisia, and Morocco, thus giving hyhpen the opportunity to access the North Africa market. In addition, this Elaeon will be an Ambassador for the αriston project in the Balkans and in this framework, it will develop more Elaeons in Kosovo and Serbia. The αriston project in the 8th International Biannual Conference ELTAM-IATEFL-TESOL The αriston project was present in the 8th ELTAM-IATEFL-TESOL international conference, which has taken place from 31/10 – 2/11 2014 in Skopje by ELTAM, titled “Managing Teaching and Learning-Making the Most of Both Worlds”. The conference highlighted the continuous professional training and development in TESOL and addressed English teachers in the greater Balkan area. Representatives were attending from FYROM, Turkey, Kosovo, Greece, Serbia, Albania, Bulgaria, the UK, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. In the conference, the αriston project was represented by hyphen’s president Mr. Yannis Stergis and executive director Mr. Antonis Mavromatis.
