Product Manager - Essential Play Portfolio Marketing Department US Marketing & Sales Division SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position is responsible for the collaboration and elaboration of the annual platform plan through the development and implementation of marketing plans for each assigned platform product segment with emphasis on brand strategy, consumer insights, platform/product innovation, new product development and P&L management; collect and analyze internal, external data to produce risks & opportunities, monthly report and business recommendations; establish project objectives, tasks, timelines, contingency plans, deliverables with Project Manager; manage and lead cross functional teams as assigned. Responsibilities of the position: • Elaborates annual plan into tactical execution plan; contributes to platform strategic direction and plan utilizing consumer insights, developing trends. • Provide leadership, marketing direction and decision-making for assigned product categories within a platform leveraging the brand. • Create strategies and tactics to meet financial objectives to drive both the short and long-term profitability and share position of all assigned businesses. • Influence and align business leaders to insure the successful execution of the marketing mix for all assigned product lines and projects. • Lead projects by establishing cross-functional teams, identifying objectives, establishing plans/milestones and success criteria, monitoring teams´ progress, managing risk, and successfully delivering the desired results. • Recommend promotional program planning as well as brand and product communications and development of pricing strategy. • Recommend and drive the execution of relevant qualitative and quantitative brand and consumer research. • Work with appropriate cross functional and international partners on product forecasting (e.g. pipeline, ongoing) and obsolete and slow moving inventory disposition as required. • Collaborate with platform teams to develop product/platform, services and process innovation. Basic Requirements of the position: • Bachelor of Science degree with business concentration required, MBA preferred • 4+ years strong marketing experience preferably in CPG or toy company • Kid marketing experience preferred • 2+ years management experience with P&L responsibility • Product Development experience, preferably hard goods, toys, chemical • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Lotus Notes experience recommended We offer competitive salary, outstanding benefits and the potential for advancement through the use of creative abilities.
