PSL FIXTURE BOSSO TO PLAY AT ASCOT – PETER DUBE NOT AMUSED Bulawayo giants Highlanders have been fixtured to host Shabanie Mine at Ascot Stadium in Gweru in the Chibuku Super Cup on Sunday. The match had been set for Luveve Stadium, however a Castle Lager Premier Soccer league communiqué to clubs states that the match will now be in the Midlands Province. Highlanders’ chairman, Peter Dube is not amused by PSL’s decision to fixture them in Gweru. “Decisions on where we play are made without us being consulted and that makes us wonder if ever they want us in this tournament or not. “We want to know who then will be responsible for expenses incurred for travelling to Gweru. It’s not like we don’t want to play but we are a big cash cow of the league and when matters like these happen we certainly can’t keep quiet. What we want is to play football and for all parties that is the club and sponsors to be happy but certainly that cannot come at our expense,” he said. Bulawayo football enthusiasts will miss the Chibuku Super Cup action following closure of all city stadia which are being renovated for December’s African Union Sports Council Region Five Under-20 Games.
