PSSSST...Guess what? We have a very exciting week ahead because we will be having our first IWI n AUS planning session. Tania Hohaia (WA Iwi n Aus leader) and Filipa Payne (QLD Iwi n Aus leader) are coming to Adelaide this Thursday to spend 3 days with me. Check out their profiles and get familiar with our volunteers who are resourceful, committed and dedicated to our people and our cause on: iwinaus.org/profiles.html The purpose of our little hui/gathering is to organise our calendar year for 2014 and consolidate our ideas and strategies. Weve all been so excited to finally get together which Im sure will be the beginning of many get togethers. Its funny how not so long ago we were once strangers but now feel a strong bond not only with each other but our team and our wonderful supporters, you :) To begin with Im planning to arrange a few hui back in Auckland and Tai Tokerau, NZ in January 2014 since Ill be there for two weeks holiday. No rest for the wicked! If you know of any major events around the country throughout 2014 that we could possibly attend or support to tautoko/support and awhi/help our people let us know. For those that may not know what were about Iwi n Aus was created to provide information, advice and advocacy to all our NZ and Australian whanau who have been affected by the 2001 legislations in Aus.
