Pacers beat Heat 107-96 Key performers for Heat: Lebron James: 25 points (11-18), 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals. Dwyane Wade: 27 points (12-18), 1 rebound, 4 assists Chris Andersen: 14 points (6-7), 4 rebounds, 2 blocks Key performers for Pacers: Paul George: 24 points (7-13), 4 rebounds, 7 assists, Lance Stephenson: 17 points (8-14), 8 assists, 4 rebounds Roy Hibbert: 19 points (5-13), 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block David West: 19 points (8-11), 7 rebounds, 3 assists George Hill: 15 points (3-9), 2 rebounds Thoughts: -Pacers had 37 FT attempts, the Heat had just 15. -The Pacers BURNED the Heat from three in the first quarter, shooting 6 for 7 -While the Heat improved throughout the game, they need to defend the pick and roll better throughout the series -Many times the Heat would try to set up to get an interception and the Pacers would just backdoor on them, they need to play safer defense. -The Heat need to get consistent play from people not named Lebron James (or Dwyane Wade for this game). -The Heat want to make Hibbert guard Bosh at the perimeter, so Lebron and Dwyane can have an open lane, but Bosh needs to hit the three for that to happen. Bosh shot 0-5 from the three and got just 9 points. -Somebody needs to contain Hibbert. It seems as if every team in the NBA can shut down Hibbert EXCEPT the Heat. Bosh got just 2 rebounds this game. -Udonis Haslem needs to play more and matchup Hibbert. When Haslem is in, Hibbert gets shut down -Pacers need to continue to give the ball to Hibbert, to keep his confidence up so he can continue to dominate the Heats frontcourt. -The Pacers cant depend on everybody but the superstars on the Heat playing poorly, so Paul George and Lance Stephenson need to do a better job against Wade on defense. - David West guarded Ray Allen for a lot of the game, and while that isnt ideal, he did a pretty good job. The Heat tried to give the ball to Ray Allen off a screen but West was able to fight through and stay in front of him for the most part. - All of the Pacers starters had at least 15 points, while only two Miami Heat starters had at least 10! -Remember Chris Andersen playing out of his mind at last years ECF? Looks like it may be happening again ladies and gentleman. #Nic
