Pan Fried liver & Onions Ingredients - 3 tablespoons vegetable oil - 3 large onions, sliced - 1/2 kg liver, thickly sliced - 1/4 cup all purpose flour - 1/2 cup warm water - salt and pepper to tast. Method 1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan and saute the onions until golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside. 2. Coat the sliver slice evenly with flour and lightly fry until brown on all sides. 3. Place onions back in to the pan, under and on top of the liver. Add the water and cover and simmer together for several minutes or until dry (not completely dry) 4. Serve with mashed potatoes
